Remarkable condition. William A. Pratt arrived in America from England in his teens. He established a \"Daguerreian Gallery\" at 139 Main Street, in Richmond, VA in 1846 and ran the establishment until 1859 when he retired. His most famous Daguerreotypes were of Edgar Allen Poe, one of which sold for $150,000. Since these photos were usually only available to the wealthiest of individuals, we will assume that the man in the photo was of prominent stature in the state of Virginia. I was unable to determine his identity, and any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am going to start the offerding at $399.95 for this wonderful, historical item. This is a good one, don\'t miss your chance for a rare piece of history. Please Add $6.99 for insured shipping in U.S. International shipping and handling will be calculated by the E-bay GSP system.
