Vermont has a relatively small population, but we're enthusiastic and hardworking, and we buy services and products just like anyone else. It's a great place to do business. Take our word for it: You do want to be here. The basic rules are these: 1. Regardless where you are located, if you want to do business in Vermont (except as an individual using your own name), you must register accordingly: Trade Name, Corporation, LLC, whatever. 2. You must have a physical address in Vermont. Not a PO Box, but a real street address. 3. If you are outside of Vermont (different state, different country, no difference, it's all the same) you must have a Registered Agent. The Registered Agent. You don't need a manufacturing plant in Vermont or even a staffed office. All you need is a physical address at which legal documents can be received (such as in process service), and an individual must be identified to the Corporations Office as your Registered Agent. That's where we come in. Whether you're elsewhere in the US, in Canda, Mexico or anywhere else, we can act as your Registered Agent. We'll receive mail and other documents for you and forward them in a timely manner. You can even install a phone line here (with Call Forwarding) if you want your customers to be able to dial a Vermont number. Compared to the cost of actually opening an office here, the fee is minimal. Contact us about our Virtual Office / Virtual Presence services, either by email or by phone:
